Wolfgang Forderer is the Head of the Mobility Department in Mayor Fritz Kuhn's Policy Office and the coordinator of urban mobility affairs in the city administration. One of his tasks is networking on a regional and international level via international projects as well as the global network Cities for Mobility with over 600 members in 84 countries. His work focuses currently on the topics walking, corporate mobility management and the development of electro-mobility and sharing in Stuttgart .
The sustainable mobility strategy of the City of Stuttgart is based on two pillars. The long-term objectives and guidelines are anchored in the Transport Development Concept 2030. Based on this plan, a dynamic Action Plan for sustainable mobility was developed, which describes the measures to be implemented by the city administration in nine fields of action. The presentation will show how the strategic objectives are implemented and how Stuttgart deals with new trends in urban mobility.
